Khon Uad Phee (Thai: คนอวดผี, RTGS: Khon Uat Phi), also referred to as Man vs Ghost, is a Thai television programme that blends variety, talk show, and discussion formats around the topics of ghosts and life after death. Since its debut on November 3, 2010, it has become one of Thailand’s most well-known ghost-themed shows.
The programme is divided into several segments. In “Clip Battle,” three of the main hosts—Krit, Pong, and Tuk—each present a clip showing ghostly activity from Thailand or abroad, and the one with the least impressive clip faces a punishment. Occasionally, clips submitted by Thai viewers are featured, with a reward of 5,000 baht. Other regular sections include “Soon Bantao Tuk Phee,” which deals with ghosts and karma through supernatural beliefs; “La Tha Phee,” a ghost-hunting segment; and “Kho Kid Chak Khun Riew.”
The show has moved between channels over the years. It originally aired on Channel 7 via Workpoint Entertainment from November 3, 2010, to December 28, 2011, in a late-night slot from 11:05 PM to 1:05 AM (UTC+7). From January 4, 2012, it shifted to Channel 5, airing from 10:35 PM to 12:20 AM (UTC+7). Since January 7, 2015, it has been broadcast on Workpoint TV.
The main hosts are Krit Sripoomseth (Krit), Kapon Tongplub (Pong), Boriboon Chanrueng (Tuk), Panrawat Limrattanaaphon (Riew), Chenchira Riabroicharoen (Jane), and Pharanyu Rotchanawuthitham (Taek). Guest hosts have occasionally filled in for Tuk Boriboon: Nong Choosak Eamsuk appeared on November 10 and 17, 2010; Gift Wattana Kamthonthip on December 1, 2010; and Gung Worrachat Thammawichin on November 2, 2011.
